What "84C" means
84C reports that the digital inverter compressor failed to start, or that the inverter board cannot drive it. The fridge will not cool at all until this is resolved. It is the most serious of the common Samsung error codes because the underlying cause is in the cooling system itself.

- Open or damaged wiring between inverter and compressor
- Voltage drop on a shared circuit preventing start
